Park your vehicle. Step through some jungle and onto a sandy path. Follow the path.

At the end of the path discover one of the many beaches Koh Phangan has to offer. This one is called Happy Beach.

and it is so very nice!
Little dwellings line the upper shore.

This is the high season in Thailand, and Koh Phangan is full of tourists, but even so, I am finding everything to fall in love with. It rains infrequently this time of year, and the temperatures are not quite soaring yet. Add the invitingly warm water temperatures and Thailand becomes a tourist dream come true…even for visitors like Rheba here. She is a powerful swimmer, and went out to check on her humans numerous times.

Most of the beachgoers hang out to watch the sunset, and it doesn’t disappoint. Nature paints with such a powerful brush.

How to finish such a marvelous day? Food, of course. Thinking Thai food???? How about Mexican!

Tomorrow….The Unseasoned Traveler!

Great pics. Love the sunset

Jackie, Always a pleasure to read your prose and look at the pictures! The quality is so high that you should consider compiling it into a book. I used to go to Penang Malaysia to teach and solve problems for Intel. One weekend we took a bus to the mainland (no bridge yet) and spent the weekend at Sonkla and Hattjai (sp?) Delightful. Came to regard Thai cuisine even above Mexican. There is a top quality Thai restaurant within walking distance, Bai Tong. My favorite dish is Pad Khee Mow (wide noodles, lots of veggies). In my opinion, this local restaurant is even better than what I had in Scottsdale or Thailand itself. Just the right balance of flavors and textures.
