I may be biased, but spring in the state of Virginia is glorious. Everything seems to wake up at once. Add longer days of warmer temperatures to a little rain and the result is an explosion of lush color and the unmistakable fragrance of buds and blossoms….like these…..
and these beauties.

Even the lowly dandelion finds a spot where least expected and looks beautiful.
I’m loving soaking up all this opulence. Spring is beautiful in Virginia, but I’m wondering how the season looks in other parts of the world. So, here’s where I jump on the advice of the Dalai Lama who said, “Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.” The upcoming junket will take this Unseasoned Traveler far and wide, and I am excited about it. First stop, Paris. Stop two is Basel to set sail for Amsterdam. Look for me in Milan and Switzerland. Provence follows with a final flourish in Paris.
This is an ambitious and challenging junket. I have to thank Mel from Fair Oaks Orthopaedic Associates for helping me to keep consistent appointments and my physical therapist, Kristie Murphy, for getting my shoulder travel ready. Thanks also to my husband, Bruce, who, yet, again, is supporting my travel mania. In addition, thanks to Ashleigh Henry who is ready and willing to junket with me again. ….also my best friend went to two weeks to Provence! She loved in so much she even sent out resumes to be a Vet Dr. there. I was invited too but couldn’t go because of my job…..🤪!

I’m going with Granny to Great Wolf Lodge and Williamsburg. Also a visit to Aunt Barbara’s house. Traveling is fun.
